Just a little update

Ok, so to start off, I don't have any picture updates on the Workshop clean up yet. But I have been very busy with making a place for everything. Which is taking time.
So for now, I have made specific place for all the hand tools etc. In between doing two jobs and being a mother to a teenager it's not going to finish sooner than I would like.

So for now I'm going to post some pics of work I've completed.

Below is a 1932 Ford Box car, my husband and I completed last year. A very proud piece we have worked on. It is for sale on Bid or Buy on the following link for anyone interested in it  http://www.bidorbuy.co.za/item/154824398/1932_Ford_Box_Car.html

Next is a Baby cot and Rocking chair I've restored.

Please send comments, I would love to know what you think.

Newly Inspired

So, today I decided it was time.

If you have read my previous blogs you will see that I have been feeling very {un}inspired and my great passion has taken the backseat. Which is actually quiet sad as it's what keeps me sane. And you will have read that I started this blog to try and get some inspiration and get my passion out from the backseat and back in front. And....... today was the day.

Yesterday I went through allot of blogs relating to my passion (woodcraft) and felt extremely inspired by the work you all do. (and what I want to do)

It all started with a SERIOUS need to do a clean up in my workshop - before pics below.

Yes, actually sharing this picture is going to leave me extremely embarrassed, and will turn any person into and {un}inspired woodcraft-er, but there is reason for my madness. By sharing this with you, means I also need to send an after picture. So holding my head in shame, my workshop Now.

So, the clean up has started and pictures will follow. I'm definitely feeling more inspired than I have a while.

Passions in life

Everyone needs a passion in life. Some have one, some have many.

I fall in the many category.

My first and most important is my family and love for the Lord. They allow me to love and enjoy all the other passions in my life.

I have love for woodwork and enjoy painting. They are a passion where I can express myself and show the world the beauty around us.

When you are passionate about something, you may find that you spend a lot of your free time making it all come together. When I'm passionate about a project and I mean really, really, really passionate, I throw myself into it.

Question: What brings joy and happiness in your life?

Life's Curve Balls

It's amazing how you go through life;
As a teenager your heart gets broken, you think your life is over.
When you leave school and can't find work, you think life is over.
You get married and have your first child, you think life is over.
Your child gets ill and goes to hospital, you think life is over.
A parent gets a life threatening illness and passes away, you think life is over.

No matter what life throws you, you seem to find the strength to move on.
You can't live your life without faith. Be it faith in the Lord, faith in your families love and support or faith in tomorrow.

Never lose your strength and faith. Tomorrow will be a different day.

Something to be inspired

As I’m starting off on the blogging life, I thought it would be appropriate with starting off with something inspiring.
As I continue blogging you will learn about my life and how I have been blessed and given so many chances. How many factors have made me want to give up and also not give up. How I have a loving, supporting family and by family I also mean all animals. I am a huge animal lover and am blessed with 7 dogs, 4 Cats, 1 Parrot and a pot-belly pig.(Yes that’s true)  Also the wild animals in my life are a few Meerkat, Guinea Fowls. My darling husband and son. (yes they are the wild animals in my life) hee hee. So lets not ramble on for now. Here is my inspiring words;

-Before You Say I Can’T, Make Sure You’Ve Tried.
-Before You Let Doubts Stop You, Confront Them With Facts.
-Before Fear Holds You Back, Go Forward With Faith.
-Before You Believe Others Are Better, Show Them What A Winner You Are.
-Before You Dismiss Your Dreams, Wait Until They’Ve Come True.
-Before You Go Looking For Happiness, Make Your Own Wherever You Are…!

Thanks for reading my blog and I hope to see you again. Have a lovely and blessing day.
